Renting a Unit

How do I rent a unit?

Everything is 100% online, with no phone calls or office visits needed. Go to storagehaven.net, choose your location, pick your unit size, sign your lease digitally, and set up AutoPay. You can move in the same day.

What sizes are available?

Unit sizes vary by location. Select your location on storagehaven.net to see current sizes, pricing, and availability.

Do I need to come in person to sign up?

No. The entire process, including the application, lease signing, and payment setup, is handled securely online.

Is there a minimum rental period?

No. All rentals are month-to-month with no long-term contract.

How do I rent a second unit?

Log in to your account at storagehaven.net and add a new unit from your dashboard.

Pricing and Payments

How much does a unit cost?

Pricing varies by location and unit size. Select your location on storagehaven.net to see current rates.

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month and is considered late after the 5th.

How do I pay my bill?

Pay online 24/7 at storagehaven.net by ACH bank transfer or credit/debit card. AutoPay is strongly encouraged so a payment is never missed.

Is there a late fee?

Late fees are outlined in your lease agreement before you sign. The easiest way to avoid them is to sign up for AutoPay.

Do you require a deposit?

Check your specific unit listing at storagehaven.net for current deposit requirements.

Access and Security

What are the access hours?

Storage Haven offers 24/7 access, 365 days a year, at all three locations.

How secure are your facilities?

• Shreveport: fully fenced with a coded gate, two camera systems, and LED lighting.
• Dubberly: fenced and gated with a coded gate, a camera system, and lighting.
• Plain Dealing: an open drive-up facility with cameras and lighting, no gate or fence. The owners are hands-on and stay very active with the property.

Do I need my own lock?

At Dubberly, every new tenant receives a free lock and a welcome bag. At Shreveport and Plain Dealing, tenants provide their own lock.

Do you offer climate-controlled storage?

No. Storage Haven does not currently offer climate-controlled units. If that is what you need, we are happy to point you toward a facility that does.

Moving In and Out

When can I move in?

As soon as your rental is confirmed online. You will receive your gate code and unit number when you sign up, with 24/7 access from day one.

Is move-in rent prorated?

Yes. If you move in mid-month, your first payment is prorated so you only pay for the days you use.

How do I move out?

Give a 10-day notice by text, empty your unit completely, and send a photo of the cleaned unit. Move-out is not prorated, so rent is due in full for the final month.

Policies and Rules

Do I need insurance?

Yes. Tenants need either tenant protection, available through Storage Haven, or proof of homeowners or renters insurance that covers stored belongings. Storage Haven’s own insurance does not cover tenants’ items.

What can I store?

Standard household goods, business inventory, documents, and more. Hazardous materials, flammable items, and anything illegal are strictly prohibited.

Storage Haven is veteran-owned and family-operated. Jessie and April have run the business since 2021 across three Louisiana locations: Shreveport, Dubberly, and Plain Dealing.
